Am I the only person in the world who didn’t know that all McDonald’s have free wifi? Someday soon, the entire world will have free wifi.

I didn’t know that, but then I have no WiFi devices (except an access point — isn’t that weird?).
According to their website on the subject:
What does it cost and how do I pay?
It depends on how you connect. Currently, the recommended pricing for a one-time connection is $2.95 for 2 hours of service. If you connect through a membership or roaming option, the price depends on your subscription rate with that company.
Unless you already have a subscription or a prepaid card from Wayport, the only way to pay in the McDonald’s restaurant is online with credit card. Stores located in the following states also provide the option of purchasing a membership for the FreedomLinksm service online from SBC Internet Services: California, Nevada, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Connecticut. You cannot pay for the service over the counter.
