An angry former Secretary of State Colin Powell is blasting the Bush White House for attacking Rep. Jack Murtha, who undermined troop morale and encouraged al Qaida last week with his call for an immediate U.S. pullout from Iraq.
“To attack him the way he was attacked, accusing him of being a Michael Moore, was disgraceful and was not worthy,” a Powell told the New York Post’s Deborah Orin, who described him as “livid.”
“Jack Murtha is great friend of mine,” Powell declared. “He’s a great patriot.

Good for Powell but let’s not forget his role in bu$h’s war propaganda.
Everybody responsible for the war is now fighting about whose fault it was.
So what was so wrong with Michael Moore? At least he had the courage to stand up for what he believed was right. That is much more than I can say for so many of the democrats who should have, but did not, become a unified force to stand up to this administration.

While the rest of the Bush Adm is criminal, Powell was morphed into the ultimate pathetic Uncle Tom. Particularly when he sat before the entire world at the UN lying thru his teeth for the sake of his masters while, at the same time, regretting every word.
His comparison attack on Moore is likewise pathetic in that he seems to have learned nothing. Maybe his attacks on his criminal employer re Murtha will fortunately give him quick exit from the cesspool. And, perhaps, open his eyes further.
Powell is nothing more than a capitalist robot. If he had any balls, he’d have stood up to Bu$h Co. from the beginning. Anyone with half a brain could have easily seen how poorly this (p)Residency was going to be. And looking at spewsmax, and being a former GI myself, I can say that the “troops” want to get the hell out of there. The only “troops” who want to stay there are natural born lunatics and the seriously brain washed. Criticism of military personnel is not hardly going to undermine troop morale. Lying to them most certainly will! Bu$h Co., and most all of Congress are liars. This undermines morale…
Powell’s timing is off.
He could have saved tens of thousands of lives if he squealed back in Feb. 2003 about the Bush lies and took this lumps then. The war wouldn’t have happened. He could have been the true hero(presidential?)then, now he’s the johnny come lately wimp I always thought he was.
