  3. No. Sorry. What Fitzgerald really said was (and I quote) “I should make clear, the complaint makes no allegations about the president-elect whatsoever,” Fitzgerald said. “We make no allegations that he’s aware of anything, and that’s as simply as I can put it. .”
    Not “not at all” but “no proof as of yet”.
    But come on, with Pfitzer, Rangel, Jefferson, Dodd and now Blagojevich (and Obama’s ties to Rezko and Ayers) we now know who iss the real “party of corruption” (by a long shot): The Democrat party (Now, with the absolute power the sought to be renamed “The Party”)

  4. “We make no allegations” means “we have no evidence.” This “not yet” you add in is purely a creation of your imagination. You’re good at that.
    I know! Let’s appoint a Special Prosecutor! He’ll have to be a Republican, of course, and we’ll give him all the money he needs, and special Underwear Subpoenas, too! You know, under that law the Republicans let expire in January of 2001 so that it couldn’t be used against them. Easy to ignore corruption when you don’t even look for it.
    Too bad Delay, Cunningham, Ney, Abramoff, Scooter Libby, Griles, Curt Weldon (that’s just in the first two years of Bush’s administration) and a few others screwed up so badly that Congress and the FBI couldn’t ignore them anymore, isn’t it? Wonder what we’ll find out about Dick Cheney now that he’s out of power? Oh wait, I forgot: the shredder truck pulled up to the Naval Observatory right after the 2006 election. Guess you’re not corrupt if no one can read your shredded files. And we won’t mention how many rules of the House and Senate the corrupt Republicans bent and broke and rewrote and ignored. It would take too long.
    Tony Rezko? Come on, yourself! All that Karl Rove-driven oppo research, and what did the Corporate Fascist Republicans find? Nothing! That won’t stop them from writing Regnery books about it, but no evidence = no crime for most sane Americans.
    Yes, Ayers taught Obama how to make bombs on Obama’s eighth birthday. Weak. But if we want to talk about ties to extremists, how about McCain’s ties to the U.S. Council for World Freedom? Lots of dead women and children thanks to them. It’s easy to hide your crimes when they’re committed in other countries.
    Jefferson got no support from the Democrats and lost his seat. Good riddance to him. He’ll probably wind up in jail.
    The Democrats took both houses of Congress in 1933 and didn’t lose the House again until 1994. Sixty years. Took the Republicans only a decade to screw up so badly that they lost it. Who’s more corrupt, now?
    And it’s Democratic Party, you nit.
