Democracy and Corporations

In a democracy the public should have the power to require to companies to act in the interests of the public and to the benefit of the public. Corporations are a creation of the people, through our government and laws, and the people have the right to say what corporations can and can not do.

  1. Not in the new, neoliberal world.
    People’s rights have been granted to corporate entities. Freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, anything for the right to profit.

  2. Since people’s rights have been granted to corporations — us people have to obey the law, don’t we? Then why shouldn’t corporations?
